Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp quick oats
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp dried garlic
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 lemon, zested
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ¼ cup parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tsp olive oil
To serve:
- 1½ cup hummus
- Cucumber, sliced
- Carrot, sliced
- Red onion, sliced
- Parsley, chopped
- Lemon
Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, egg, oats, onion, garlic, oregano, lemon zest, coriander, cumin, parsley, salt and pepper.
- Mix with your hands until everything seems evenly combined.
- Form the patties in thick oval shapes.
- Heat a grill at high temperature and add a bit of olive oil. Grill the koftas - around 10 minutes per side - until fully cooked and browned on the outside.
- Serve with hummus, cucumber, carrot, red onion, parsley and lemon.
